Cabramurra lies 103 kilometres from Cooma NSW &
at 1488 metres above sea level is the highest settlement in
Australia. It was built in 1951 & has remained a town which only
exists to cater for employees of the Snowy Mountain Authority. While
there are no private houses, it does have a small general store, a
pub & a service station. |
